Ask: The project involved creating a brand identity and packaging for Afet’s chocolate bars, supported by Unilever’s Made Local initiative. Afet, a former chemical engineer from Ankara, developed the recipe through late-night experiments. The brand needed to appeal to an adventurous, health-conscious audience—digital nomads and outdoor lovers—who value freedom, quality, and simplicity. The packaging was required for two flavour varieties, reflecting the product’s natural ingredients and playful spirit.
Solution: The concept, “Have a nocturnal flirt with the wild,” draws inspiration from Afet’s experimental process and the nomadic lifestyle of the target audience. The design features a bold illustration of the caracal, a wild local cat symbolizing adventure and independence, paired with earthy colour gradients and a toned-down palette. Each flavour is visually distinct yet cohesive, with a playful, youthful tone of voice that speaks to the brand’s nostalgic, offbeat, and cheerful values.
